Competitive program

For established couples and advanced dancers

Designed for serious young dancers ages 7 to 15, this program supports established couples and advanced students who are ready for consistent training and competition preparation.

Coaches work with each dancer on Latin and Standard technique, endurance, presentation, and the practical details of building an appropriate competition plan.

Latin technique

Musicality, body action, footwork, partnering, and the distinct character of each Latin dance.

Standard technique

Posture, frame, movement, floorcraft, and coordinated partnership across the Standard dances.

Endurance

Conditioning and round practice that help dancers sustain technique and presence across a full event.

Presentation

Confidence, performance quality, and preparation for the expectations of a competition floor.

Training commitment

Private lessons and competition planning

Weekly instruction

  • Competitive dancers are expected to take two to three private lessons each week.
  • Lessons may be with a Regular Coach or Junior Coach according to the dancer's training plan.

Individual planning

  • Competition goals, events, partnerships, and preparation are planned with studio coaches.
  • Contact the studio before enrolling to discuss readiness and placement.

Competitive ballroom classes run September 2026 through May 2027. Competitive 1: Mondays Latin 6:00–6:45 PM and Standard 6:45–7:30 PM; Thursdays Rounds 6:45–7:30 PM; $185 monthly. Competitive 2: Tuesdays Latin 6:00–6:45 PM and Formation 6:45–7:30 PM; Thursdays Latin 6:00–6:45 PM and Rounds 6:45–7:30 PM; $210 monthly. Drop-in classes are $25 per lesson. Credit card required on file. No partial payments, refunds, or make-ups for missed lessons.
