Social dancing is a classification of danceforms or dance styles, where sociability and socializing are the primary focuses of the dancing. Social dances can be danced with a variety of partners and still maintain leading and following in a relaxed, easy atmosphere.


Salsa is a very energetic Latin dance. Lots of fun, complete with spins, sharp movement, and crisp turns. Salsa is very popular in Latin clubs.


The mambo is a very popular and sensual dance, with African and Cuban rhythms. Mambo is said to be the dance of Cuba.


Swing is a group of related street dances that evolved from Lindy Hop. Swing dance partners consist of a leader and a follower. There are three main forms of Swing: Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing and East Coast Swing.
