Born in Belarus (former Soviet Union), Gene Bersten came to the United States as a young child. He began dancing at the age of 10 and entered his first ballroom dance competition at the age of 13 respectively. The thrill of competing inspired Gene to take his dancing career to a new level and this journey continues today. A remarkable performer, a ballroom dance champion and a creative choreographer, Gene also posseses characteristics that make him a highly sought after dance professional:

Achievements: United States Amateur Latin Champion (2006); United States Amateur Latin Finalist (2007-present); Las Vegas Runner Up (2009); Ohio Star Ball Runner Up(2005); Midwestern Region Champion (2003 to present); Minnesota State Champion (2002-present); Twin Cities Open Champion (2001-present); Wisconsin State Champion (2002-present); Chicago Champion (2002-present); Indiana State Champion (2003-present); New Jersey Summer Sizzler Runner Up (2007); East Coast Finalist (2006-present); Florida Superstars champion (2009) and U.S.A. Big Shot Live Winner.
Gene Bersten has also starred in the most prestigious ballroom dance show in the world titled: Burn The Floor. Gene has also performed with international superstar singer Akon. In addition to dancing for diabetes and cancer research and other fundraising events; Gene has also performed at Mall of America, Mystic Lake Casino, Chipotle headquarters, Minneapolis Metrodome, Millennium Hotel, fashion shows and fine restaurants totaling over 300 dance performances.
In addition to Gene’s extensive dance achievements, he has also managed Magic Ballroom School of Dance, one of the top ballroom dance schools in the Midwest known for training highly skilled dancers and representing the youth generation of DanceSport. Magic Ballroom School of Dance became part of Dance With Us America and Gene continues to manage the creation of skilled dancers at all ages and levels through his new studio.
